This major symposium will be held on February 11th 2012 in Birdpark Avifauna in Alpen aan den Rijn, Netherlands. With an expected number of 150 participants, our main goal is to bring together devoted aviculturists, conservationists, educators and zookeepers to talk about ex-situ and in-situ projects on bird preservation. Subjects are: ex-situ breeding of Ploceidae, veterinarian aspects of aviculture, Oriental storks (Ciconia boyciana) in Avifauna, Galliformes in the Antwerp Zoo, Conservation of the Brazilian merganser (Mergus octosetaceus).
