Flower Festival 2010 To celebrate the International Year of Biodiversity, Nature Club of Pakistan organized a flower festival-2010 to introduce the beauty of botanical life among youngsters. Students were asked to draw, sketch, photograph and write about botanical life.

The CBC came into being with notification issued by the University authorities on 24 December, 2009 to undertake advance research and studies in the field of biological and environmental aspects. Establishment of CBC at the beginning of 2010 is a landmark in the history of Pakistan, since United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) declared 2010 as International Year of Biodiversity. The Director of CBC, Dr. Raza Bhatti has been nominated as a Focal Person for IYB by the Higher Education Commission to the Ministry of Environment, Government of Pakistan. This task includes mobilizing and organizing various types of celebrations for the International Year of Biodiversity in all the universities of Pakistan.
