NEWS Asia-Pacific Regional Consultation and Capacity Building Workshop on REDD-plus Biodiversity Safeguards, Singapore, 15-18 March 2011Participants from 21 countries and 19 relevant organizations met in Singapore to discuss biodiversity and indigenous and local community aspects of REDD-plus, including relevant safeguards. The workshop was co-organized by the CBD Secretariat and the National Parks Board of Singapore (NParks), with financial support from the Governments of the United Kingdom, and Germany, and the ASEAN Centre for Biodiversity (ACB). New "Planet Change" Blog Highlights REDD, People and Climate Change Connections The Nature Conservancy has launched Planet Change (http://change.nature.org), a blog designed to share stories about actions to fight carbon pollution, address impacts of climate change and help people see the connections between climate change and their daily lives.
