Do you think that biodiversity is important and why?

Yes biodiversity is very important because of the following reasons:
it supports a number of natural ecosystem processes and services like air quality, climate (both global CO2 sequestration and local), water purification ,pollination, and prevention or control of erosion.
Non-material benefits that are obtained from ecosystems include spiritual and aesthetic values , knowledge systems and the value of education.
