Tuvalu will be celebrating the International Year of Biodiversity in a period of two weeks commencing with the celebrations of the International Day for Biodiversity, 22 May 2010, towards 5 June 2010, World Environment Day.
Out of this event, Tuvalu is looking forward to produce Biodiversity icons that are; a song portraying the value of biodiversity to life; a traditional beauty queen advocating on Biodiversity issues and; a passionate planter promoting the importance of indigenous species.
