National Celebrations
IYB Celebrations in Tonga
During the month of June 2010, there’s has been many activities relating to the International Year of Biodiversity. Many activities included visits to primary schools to speak about biodiversity. They have also organized tree-planting ceremonies during the school visits. Also, during “Open Day,” many IYB displays were featured in the capital of Nuku'alofa. Finally, during “World Environment Day,” they have organized a tree plantation ceremony as well.
